Well yesterday was the big day when I sent off a
big 5th grader, a 2nd grader, and my sweet little
kindergartner. They were all tired, buy luckily
they were easy and didn't put up any fights.
Very early on Blake told me I could NOT walk
him to his class and take his picture. So I made him
take some at home and in front of the school =)
Riley was all ready with her new backpack and lunchbox. She even wanted to wear
her new tennis shoes like her brothers.
Blake is in a men's size 7, Gavin in size 3, and Riley in size 12.
Like I said, Blake wouldn't let me get a picture of him at his desk, so here are the other two.
Gavin's teacher Mrs. Howard. I requested her because I heard she was
good with energetic boys. Hmmm, that might describe Gav just a bit!
Before Gavin had time to react, Riley snuck in a couple of kisses on his cheek.
He just smiled. Soooo sweet!
Riley and Mrs. Godier. She was Gavin's kindergarten teacher too. We love her!
Right after this picture I gave Riley one more hug and kiss and turned for the door.
I could tell she was tearing up a bit so when I turned around by the door for one
more glance, she was already running for me and wrapped around my leg. Mrs.
Godier and I had her calmed down within a minute and she was off with her
teacher to look at pictures of her new baby. I was worried all day, but Mrs.
Godier sent me a text that let me know that Riley was doing fine and even
sent me a picture of Riley. I swear this teacher has always gone above
and beyond for my kiddos. After we left Riley's class we headed to the
library where they had a Boo Hoo breakfast for the kindergarten parents.
I was fine until I got there and then all heck broke loose and I couldn't hold
it in anymore. The tears started flowing and took a while to stop. Good thing
I composed myself before many of the other parents got there. Macey
enjoyed the rest of the breakfast with me.
All three kiddos had the best day and were talking a mile a minute all of the way
home. So glad that my kids enjoyed their days and I am so glad they go to
Rockbridge Elementary!!!
