Keith has been in trouble for this before. Macey
broke out with a strange rash a couple of days after
he did this last time. I finally figured out that it's not what
he did, but that Macey had roseola that time. He still has been
told not to do it again. He says he just can't help himself when
she stares at him with big puppy dog eyes. Can you guess
what he's been doing?

From Dance To T-Ball...
Today Riley had a dance rehearsal for recital that
is coming up in a few weeks. Riley does NOT like
her costume at all this year. It is not FANCY enough
for her. Plus it is not comfortable at all and rubs her
under her arms.
She does however like the fishnet tights.
And then tonight Gavin and Riley had their first t-ball game.
Their team is called the Red Sox. We didn't have time to get
Riley's pants yet but we will before Saturday when they have their
team pictures. Gavin loves that Riley is playing and she does
really good for being the only girl on the team.

Princess Tea...
Today Riley and I had a little date and went to the
Alladin and Jasmine Princess tea at Tryps. We met Riley's
friend from dance, Kate, and her sister Elly. We also met
my friend Sarah and her little girl, Agnes. Riley decided to
wear her Snow White dress and was so excited. Here she is before
we left:
When we got there we found our friends. Here is Kate and Riley:
The girls were so excited when they got to their places at the table and
they had a ton of goodies. Then they brought out the "magic" cupcakes
with sparklers in the middle of them.
All of the girls got to meet all of the princesses and get autographs.
They also got to dance with the princesses. It was a great one-on-one
date with my little princess!

Just One Of The Boys...
Gavin had his first t-ball practice last Sunday. I noticed a
couple of the other players had younger siblings on the team.
So here is the newest player on the Red Sox team:
Gavin took such good care of her, showing her where to go and
what to do. He is really not happy about having to play t-ball again,
but unfortunately it's what age group he fits in. Here she is getting ready
to bat. She really socked it pretty good.
Pink helmet coming soon,
cousin Avery has one for us.
The bat was bigger than
she was.
An old pro...
Gotta love a pink glove. She
didn't have any shoes that weren't
too fancy. She wore a pair of Gavin's
old ones.
The best part is the snack and drink afterward!

Mother's Day Tea...
Today Riley's preschool held the Mother's Day Tea.
I'm not sure why they hold it in April. To say Riley was
excited would be an understatement. She told me I had to
wear a dress or skirt and a fancy necklace. She has been singing
and practicing her songs at home non-stop. The first one they sang
was "My mommy has a first name, it's M-O-M-M-Y" to the tune of the
Oscar Meyer song "My balogna has a first name, it's OSCAR". You
know the song I'm talking about. The also sang "You are my sunshine"
and a couple others. BUT, the absolute favorite song has to be the
"Tootie-Ta". I know, it sounds interesting. It is hilarious. It involves the
kids doing several different motions like putting their knees together, sticking
their tongues out, and closing their eyes. Very funny!
You are my sunshine!
The Tootie-Ta
thumbs go up for part of the song
Knees together, bottoms out, tongue
out, eyes closed

4 Month Check-Up...
Yesterday was Macey's 4 month check up. The doctor
says she looks great and is doing everything right. We, on
the otherhand, have to work on getting her out of her carseat
to sleep. The doctor wanted her out by 4 months and she
is 4 1/2 months. I hope it is an easy transition because she
does so well sleeping through the night. I also found out that our
pediatrician pierces ears. How funny is that!!! So anytime I am
ready to do it, we can. Macey weighed in at 15 lbs.15 ounces (80th
percentile), and her length was 25 3/4 inches (90th percentile). She is one
big baby, but Riley had her beat by a landslide. I looked the other day and
Riley was 105th percentile for weight and 50th percentile for height at 4 months.
Macey was pooped from the doctor's appointment and shots. She slept for
2 1/2 hours afterward.
And Macey got to have cereal last night for the first time. She
did okay and seemed to like it. She started to kind of pucker
after about the tenth bite so we quit.
Getting excited to eat

Fun In The Sun...
Today was spent cleaning, going on wagon rides, and
playing lots of Uno with Riley. Macey got to go on her
first ever wagon ride. Tomorrow she goes to the doctor for
her 4 month doctor appointment.
And just because I can't resist sharing this picture of
chunky monkey-

Hard to Believe...
I know it is hard to believe but Gavin is the most lovey-dovey
boy in the world. Every one that knows him, knows he is a ball of
energy. Since he has started kindergarten, I have been getting love
notes home every week with pictures of rainbows and lots of "I
love my mommy." On Easter he disappeared and came back with
a card for each and every one of us. Here is mine:
It says: Mom, I love you really much. You cook really good and
you are a good mom. I'm not sure why there is scribbling through a lot
of it. And how sweet is this:
Gavin picked these dandelions at recess and put them in his pocket
and pulled them out as soon as he got home. I know they are a little
deflated but it is the thought that counts! Sweet, sweet boy!

Happy Easter...
We had yet another wonderful day today. The
weather turned out great! I love when it is warm and
you don't have to cover up the kid's outfits with sweaters
and tights! The kids were so excited to see what the
Easter Bunny brought them (My little man Blake knows the
truth now so he was my helper)! They all got candy and Blake
got a Wii game, Gavin got a watergun, Riley got Barbie wedding
dress-up, and Macey got some new toys to chew on! All of the kids
got a new pair of pajamas from us.
We then headed to Mamaw and Papa's for lunch and for the
Easter egg hunt. Here are the boys: Blake, Gavin and Andrew
Here are the girls: Avery, Riley, and Macey
Cutest little tushie!
And their off....
Is this not the sweetest picture
ever!!!
