Friday Night...

Tonight while daddy worked realllly late
pouring concrete, we had a picnic in the
living room and watched Annie.

This was the first time they all sat and watched the whole
thing and they loved it!  Does anyone know how exhausting
it is to get 4 grumpy kids dressed and ready for bed all by yourself?
Well, I can tell you, I wouldn't want to be a single mother for
anything!!!  Here I got them to grin a little, though.

Boone County Fair-Night One...

Last night we made it to the Boone County Fair.
I'm hoping we'll make it back a second time too.
Macey just hung out in the stroller the whole time
and was so good.  She is such a happy go lucky girl!

And Riley really surprised us this year.  She went
on everything that she was tall enough to go on.  She
went on the Sea Dragon.  I couldn't even watch her.  I
was scared to death she was going to slip out from
underneath the bar.

Gavin and Blake are complete daredevils too.  They don't get
it from me, that is for sure.  They went on this ride that lifts you
up about 50 feet in the air and then it just straight drops you
to the ground.  Gavin was barely tall enough for this one.
Gavin had a huge grin on his face, Blake looked like he
had a heart attack.  We laughed so hard at his expression.

The boys also loved the Cliffhanger.  I couldn't watch them.  I just
knew Blake was going to puke.

The kids were happy Mamaw and Papa came with us too.

We went by a tent where a guy was holding a baby alligator.
The kids asked if they could hold it and the boys handed
it right over.  Gavin of course had to be first.

And Blake was next.  He wasn't quite as confident.

And Miss Riley, who isn't afraid of anything (except
thunder) was very excited to hold him.

You could go inside the tent and see a 7 foot gator.  Right
when we were getting ready to leave, a girl brought out a
HUGE python and Riley ran up and wanted to hold it.  They
just let her pet it.  Crazy girl!  Macey didn't get to pet any
reptiles, but made fast friends with a goat.  I wasn't fast enough
to get a picture of the goat trying to eat the flower on her head.

We had a lot of fun and hope to make it back another night.  Everyone
was worried about our safety since there was a shooting there a couple
nights before.  I told Keith we would be safe since it was Sunday.  I'm
sure all of the hoodlums were at church, haha!

Visitors...

On Saturday we had lots of visitors.  Grammy, Mandy,
Cameron, and Michelle came over to play with the
kiddos.  Riley decided to take some pictures.

I think she does pretty well for a 5 year old!!!

Mani and Pedi...

Tonight Riley had her first manicure and pedicure.
My friend Nikki gave it to her for her birthday.  I think
she enjoyed it.  She was a little nervous.  She picked a
light purple and wanted a blue flower painted on her
big toe.

Happy 5th Birthday Riley Girl...

Today is Miss Riley's 5th birthday.  We had
kind of a laid back day.  We went to lunch at
Burger King with our friends Nikki and Audrey
and out to dinner with Mamaw and Papa.  Riley
got a new shopping cart, a stroller, some pretend
cookies, new jammies, a new barbie suitcase, and
a new dress with a matching dress for her doll.  We
even put candles in her doughnuts this morning.

We had lunch with our favorite little cutie who's birthday

Birthday Eve...

Today is the birthday eve before Riley's 5th
birthday tomorrow.  Grandpa and Grandma
Jenkins came over today to give Riley her birthday
gift.  She got an apron, chef's hat, and some real
cookie mix to bake cookies.  She also had to look
through lots of tissue paper to find her "dollar".
Actually it was more than that, but that is what Riley
calls it.  And of course the boys were nowhere to be found.
They were too busy outside.

Looking for her "dollar"

Here is Riley before bed tonight.  She got one of her
presents early.  These jammies are from Macey.

Riley's 5th Birthday Party...

Riley had her 5th birthday party at Flipz USA.  I
should have checked, but forgot about Show-Me-State
Games and so a couple of kids couldn't come because
of that and a couple were on vacation.  I'm sure Riley
will deal with that alot having her birthday when it is.
She was more than excited to see some of her preschool
friends and all of the ones she really missed were there.
When we were looking for a birthday outfit, she wanted
a tutu.  We compromised and got a skirt with tulle underneath.
