Tubes...

Today Macey went in for tubes in her ears at
seven in the morning.  Since I had heard this was
a quick procedure, Keith and I decided I would take
her by myself and he would stay home with the other
three and get them to school.  Mamaw ended up
meeting me at the Surgery Center and I am so
glad she did.  She was such a big help mostly
with carrying all of my stuff.  I may or may not have
teared up when the nurse took Macey from me back
into the operating room.  Luckily it is like a 15 minute
procedure and Dr. Campbell was out in the waiting
room very quickly.  They don't even do an I.V.
with tubes and so I could go back as soon as she woke
up.  When I went back they said she had cried for a second
and they gave her her pacifier and she was fine.  The nurse
had her on her lap and was all snuggled up to her.  She
reached for me as soon as she saw me though.  We only set
there 5 minutes and they let us go home.  Macey took a good
2 hour nap once we were home and ate really well too.  I
really hope this takes care of her ear infections for a very
long time!

Last night Blake played his first official baseball
game ever!  I was so nervous and could tell he was
nervous, but he did great.  He had a whole cheering
squad and boy did we cheer.  I think I am going to be
one of THOSE moms.  Good thing Blake didn't seem
too embarrassed of me and Aunt Mandy.  Mamaw seemed
to control herself a little more!  Blake was the first one
up to bat and hit on the first or second pitch.  Let me
tell you, the opposing team's pitcher threw some fastballs!
Not many of the boys hit a ball on our whole team!
Then the game was almost over and Blake caught a
pop fly and got someone out.  Blake's coach gave him
special recognition at the end of the game for playing well
for his very first game ever.  We were so proud!

Blake's Big Ol' Fish...

I decided to let Blake miss school yesterday
to go fishing at the Lake with Keith, Papa, and
Uncle Kevin.  Blake hasn't had  any sick days this
whole year surprisingly, so I thought he deserved
a little fun!  Of course with the weather like it has been,
I was worried they would get rained on the whole time and
Blake would be miserable.  It turned out that it only sprinkled
on them a few times and the sun came out for a little bit.
Blake said he was bored for the first hour until Keith caught
the first one.  Then Papa caught one and then Keith caught
another.  Pour Uncle Kevin never did catch one.  Blake never
stopped talking once he got home yesterday even though he had
been up since 3 30 in the morning.  I hope he doesn't fall asleep
today at school!

After Macey's morning nap we headed over to Mamaw and Papa's
for lunch and for an Easter egg hunt.  Here are the kiddos in their

Dyeing Eggs and Easter Eve...

Last night we dyed easter eggs with the kids.
Macey loved it.  Everytime we gave her one
she said "ooohhhh" and thought it was the best

Then today we met Aunt Mandy at the Mall with Bella and visited
the Easter Bunny and did all of the fun things there!

I thought Macey might
cry when she saw the
Easter Bunny, but she
turned around and
waved to him and said
"Hi Puppy."  It was
so cute!

Gav of course had to have
his face painted with any
thing they had sports related.
Blake decided he was too old
for face painting.

Riley decided on a butterfly.

Then tonight my side of the family came over to hunt eggs and to
eat dinner.  I didn't get any pictures of my brother and his fiance.  Sad face.

I made the girls put on rain
boots because the ground
was so wet.

Grammy helped Macey Mae
find her eggs.  Everytime she
found an egg she said "There one!"

CNS Easter Party...

Yesterday Riley had her Easter Party at school.
Of course the boys don't have an Easter party since
it is a Christian holiday.  Riley got dressed in her fancy
tutu that our friend made for her and of course I had to
put Macey's matching tutu on too.  We are lucky to have
such talented friends that make us such cute stuff.

Fairytale Ball...

Tonight was the 1st grade fairytale ball at school.
Gavin had a speaking part and wasn't nervous at all.
He spoke, clearly, loudly, and didn't miss a word.  This
was the first time he has worn a tie and was such a handsome
little devil.
