My brother turned the big "21"
on Monday. Tonight we went to
eat and then my sister, Mandy and
Joel were taking him and Michelle
out on the town. Have fun guys,
and be careful. Love you!

Leader Girl...
Today Miss Riley was the leader at school. She got to bring the snack
(cheese sticks and animal cookies). She also said she got to do the
weather and put the coat on the bear, whatever that means. She was
super excited and wanted to wear a dress for this special occasion.
So, dress it was. Here is my cutie pie:

My Girls...
Big sister Riley
Little sister Macey
Most of our days are spent hanging out just like this:
or this...
Riley wanted to take her picture the other day with her baby and Macey...
It looks like Riley is
holding two dolls!
How cute is this picture?!?
I found these flower clips at
Children's Orchard of all
places. I got a yellow one too.
I think she looks like Gavin in this
picture. She totally looks different
depending on what way she is laying.

The Sweetest Thing...
Isn't this sweet...
Macey giving her big brother Blake a smile. What a big helper my
Blakey boy has been. He hasn't changed any diapers yet, but will
hold Macey and help me out whenever I need it. We haven't let
him feed her yet either, because she still chokes, but he is dying to. Blake
is such a sensitive boy and thinks we are being "mean" if we let her
cry longer than a second. I have a feeling he will be a very
protective big brother.

Thank You...
Thank you to my friend Michelle who gave Macey this super cute outfit
and blanket. We showed her off today at Dr. Grant's office today. It turns
out that I do have to have a hysterectomy. It will be a partial hysterectomy
so I won't have to go on any type of hormones. The fibroids are so large
(larger than we thought, softball or larger in size) that the blood loss would
be too dangerous in any other procedure. This will include one night in the
hospital and 6-8 weeks to totally recover. They are hoping to get it scheduled
as soon as possible. Here is the cute outfit:
It has Riley's favorite saying,
"Oh La La"

Six Weeks...
My baby girl was six weeks yesterday. I've been trying to get
a picture of her smiling since she has been doing it for three weeks
now, but my camera is not fast enough. I finally got some half smiles.
And look at this, I thought Macey looked the most like Gavin. Look at her
next to this picture of Riley. Riley is 1 month old in this picture.
I think they look a lot alike. Good thing Riley turned out so stinkin'
cute, because she was one CHUNKY baby!!!

Who Needs A Sled...
when you have this!!!
Keith promised the kids that after school today he would take them "tubing".
I could hear the squeals all the way in the house! Riley was happier on the
front of the four wheeler, but she did give it a try.
This is one of the many benefits of living in the country and
having acreage. The kids flew in doughnuts around the whole
backyard. I have memories from doing stuff like this with my dad
when my sister and I were little. I think this is definitely a memory that
will last a lifetime for my kiddos. Gavin wasn't very happy when he came
in. It seems that he did a nosedive into the snow and even had mud and snow
coming out of his nostrils when he came in.
Don't worry, hot chocolate made it better for everyone!
Blakers took a while to thaw out since
his hat kept flying off.
And because I forgot to post this one yesterday, both boys had birthday
parties yesterday. Blake went to Quinncee's party yesterday at Show-Me
Gymnastics. I didn't get any pictures there (mom, your not taking your camera
in there, how embarrassing). Gavin had his friend Caden's swimming party at the
ARC. It seems to me like Blake isn't my only little heartbreaker. This little girl, Elly
hung on Gavin the whole time. Gavin already told me that a little girl Claire from his class
told him that he was going to marry her, change the dirty diapers, clean the house, and
take out the trash. Wow, that's a girl who knows what she wants!!!

Snow Day...
This is what we did on our snow day...nerf gun wars all day long.
Even Keith gets in on the action. He likes to hide in the dark and
jump out at the kids and scare them half to death.
Blake got this nerf gun with some
Christmas money. It is almost as
big as he is!

Chunky Monkey...
Macey is 5 weeks today and had to go in for a well child check.
She weighed in at 10 pounds 1 ounce. That is 75-90th percentile.
She was 21 1/2 inches long, which is 75th percentile. She still has
long skinny legs and arms. I'd say all of her chunkiness is in her cheeks!!!
Dr. Beal said she looked perfect and to keep up with what
we are doing. He even said that our nighttime routine was fine.
You see, Macey will only sleep at night in her carseat with a lamp
shining down on her. If it is dark she keeps her eyes open and looks
around. Keith bought a desk lamp that he clipped on the side of the
crib. The carseat sits down in the crib, we have it down to a science.
She is sleeping 4-5 hours already at night. We are so tired that we don't
even care that the lamp is on. When you are that exhausted, you get a little
desperate! I have to admit, she has been a really easy baby, and we love
her to pieces!
Oh yeah, I walked Gavin into his classroom this morning. His teacher
said she asked all of the kids yesterday what their favorite Christmas gift
was. Gavin said his new baby sister was his favorite present. Awwww.

A Month Has Come And Gone...
Can you believe Miss Macey Savannah is already a month old today?
I cannot believe it, it seems like yesterday I was headed to the hospital
to be induced. It makes me very sad, Keith says it went so fast because
of the holidays. I really hope things slow down a little. Macey's nicknames
are currently Macey Mae (and Riley Rae, daddy's favorite), Miss Macey, and
Macey Moo-Moo.
Yesterday I went to the doctor. When I got home I had all three
big kids waiting for me in the garage just dying to tell me what
daddy did while I was gone. Here is what he did, he wanted to do it
the other day and I stopped him.
Do you see it?
Crazy, huh! He said he was
going to paint her toenails purple
but her feet were covered. We
went to Kevin and Melissa's for
New Year's eve, Keith showed
his mom as soon as she got there.
He was so proud of his work!
I peeled it off this morning!!!
Here are some pictures I took of Macey this morning with her minky
blanket. It is so soft. Again, I can't believe she is one month already.
Chubby cheeks!
Almost a half smile.
Blake and Gavin have been wearing out our hill with their sleds.
Finally Gavin took Riley out the other day and let her sled with him.
He honestly takes such good care of her. He got her all dressed
in her snowsuit while I was feeding Macey. They are so close.
I took these from the kitchen. Copper would chase them down
the hill on their sleds and then pounce on them once they stopped.
It was hilarious. Gavin said he even tried to sled down once
with Copper on his lap.
