Richard and Shirley's Wedding...

We went to Richard (my stepdad) and Shirley's wedding
this weekend.  I think it was cute to see a couple in their 60's
get married!  I got a call at 7 o'clock on Friday night (the night
before the wedding) that they would like for Riley to be a flowergirl
in the wedding.  Holy cow!  I looked after dinner for a dress and
couldn't find one, so we ended up borrowing a dress from Bella.
Riley did a perfect job and looked beautiful as always!

My brother's fiance Michelle did the guestbook.  Macey wouldn't let her put her
down, so Michelle just held her and did both!

Riley and Uncle Cameron

Riley stood up front the whole time between Cameron and Reagan (Richard's daughter).

The bride and groom...Richard and Shirley.

Fall...

With the weather getting cooler, we can finally put
some of our fall clothes on!

I've been frenchbraiding Riley's hair sometimes
at night, so her hair is wavy in the morning.  On
this morning a little girl in Riley's class said "Oh
Riley, I loooove your hair.  Did you sleep in braids?"
I love the way little kid's minds work!

New Room...

Last week we decided to surprise Riley while she
was at school and redo her room on a rainy day.
I knew we wouldn't have time to do anything like
repaint, so I had been saving up things in her closet
to make her room hot pink, black and zebra.  Riley
loves polka dots so I knew we should have those in
there.  I also put some Barbie things in there so her
room would seem a little bit more little girlish.
She was so excited when she got home and thanked me
and thanked me!  She even made me a thank you card
the next day at school!

Go Cowboys...

Today was Gav's first football game of the season.  I
can't help it, I looooove me some football!  Gavin's best
friend's dad is the Coach again this year and we love him!
Gavin has been playing quarterback and runningback during
practices, but quarterback is by far his favorite.  He said in
the car on the way to the game that he hoped that he made the
first touchdown of the game.  And guess what???  He did!  I
was screaming and yelling so loud that I'm sure you could have
heard me for miles.  Thank goodness that everyone else around
me was yelling, so hopefully it drowned me out a little =)

Gavin is number 21.  You can tell by his little, scrawny legs!

Fall Ball...

Blake is playing fall baseball this time since we decided
it wouldn't be a good idea for him to try football with
his asthma.  Last night was his first game and they won and
he got to pitch.  I sent my camera with Keith since I was
with Gavin at football practice and he came home with
two pictures.  Had I gone there would have likely been
just a few more =)  Next week is my turn to go watch
him play!!!
