Intro To Jazz...

Last night Riley started dance for the year in an
Intro to Jazz class.  The most exciting part for her was not
having to wear the leotard, tights, and dance shoes.
I was worried about her being too tired from school,
but she has a lot of friends in her class so she ended up
having lots of fun.

Kindergarten Day Two...

Day two went much better...NO TEARS!
No tears from either one of us, can you believe it???
A friend of mine said she wanted to see a picture of
Riley daily on facebook with the title "What All The
Kids Should Be Wearing To Kindergarten..."  She said
she loves her cute little style.  I do too.  I love that she
still wants to dress like a little girl and lets me help her
pick out her stuff.  Although her new favorite store is
Justice, so she will be looking more grown up in no time =(

Back To School 2011...

Well yesterday was the big day when I sent off a
big 5th grader, a 2nd grader, and my sweet little
kindergartner.  They were all tired, buy luckily
they were easy and didn't put up any fights.
Very early on Blake told me I could NOT walk
him to his class and take his picture.  So I made him
take some at home and in front of the school =)

Riley was all ready with her new backpack and lunchbox.  She even wanted to wear
her new tennis shoes like her brothers.
Blake is in a men's size 7, Gavin in size 3, and Riley in size 12.

Like I said, Blake wouldn't let me get a picture of him at his desk, so here are the other two.

Gavin's teacher Mrs. Howard.  I requested her because I heard she was
good with energetic boys.  Hmmm, that might describe Gav just a bit!

Before Gavin had time to react, Riley snuck in a couple of kisses on his cheek.
He just smiled.  Soooo sweet!

Riley and Mrs. Godier.  She was Gavin's kindergarten teacher too.  We love her!

Right after this picture I gave Riley one more hug and kiss and turned for the door.
I could tell she was tearing up a bit so when I turned around by the door for one
more glance, she was already running for me and wrapped around my leg.  Mrs.
Godier and I had her calmed down within a minute and she was off with her
teacher to look at pictures of her new baby.  I was worried all day, but Mrs.
Godier sent me a text that let me know that Riley was doing fine and even
sent me a picture of Riley.  I swear this teacher has always gone above
and beyond for my kiddos.  After we left Riley's class we headed to the
library where they had a Boo Hoo breakfast for the kindergarten parents.
I was fine until I got there and then all heck broke loose and I couldn't hold
it in anymore.  The tears started flowing and took a while to stop.  Good thing
I composed myself before many of the other parents got there.  Macey
enjoyed the rest of the breakfast with me.

All three kiddos had the best day and were talking a mile a minute all of the way
home.  So glad that my kids enjoyed their days and I am so glad they go to
Rockbridge Elementary!!!

End of Summer...

We hit the lake one more time this summer
before the kids start school.  We were supposed
to go on the boat, but that fell through so we ended
up at the outlet mall and riding gocarts.  Blake was
super excited that he was finally tall enough to drive
his own gocart.  Gavin rode with Keith and then when
they were all done Keith took Riley.

After gocarts we rode bumper boats.  I was lucky enough to take
Riley on the ride and we all came off soaked!

Summer Fun 2011...

We are trying to squeeze as much fun in the
last few days of summer before school starts
as we can.  Last week we went bowling with
the cousins.

Blake was the only one who made a strike and he even played against
Melissa.  The next day we went swimming with Avery and Andrew.

Boone County Fair 2011...

So, I have been a really bad blogger and am about
a month behind almost so I will see how much I can
get accomplished.  We went to the fair in the middle
of July and all Blake has been talking about for a year
is riding a ride called the Chainsaw.  You know the one,
it flips upside down and there is commonly vomit flying
from it.  Last year he was about 4 inches to short to ride
it.  This year I knew he would be tall enough, so I enlisted
the help of my brother Cameron and his fiance Michelle
to ride all of the rides with the kids.

I was so nervous about Blake riding so we left and went
and showed the girls some animals in the petting zoo.  Low
and behold when we got back, not only had Blake ridden, but
they lowered the height requirement and Gavin was tall enough
to ride and was on it!!!  I was crazy nervous then.  I couldn't
bear to even watch him.  Cameron was done after riding with
each boy once, but they decided to ride again with each other.
Here are all of the pics from the night-

Riley's friend
Taylor ended up
being there so she
got to ride some rides
with her.

Can you tell how
excited Gav was to
ride with Macey?

The camel got up
close and personal
with Macey.  She kept
saying "me no like it".

My sister-in-law
Michelle snapped this
of me while Gavin was on
the Chainsaw.  No one
thought I would show it.
