Today we went to visit my granny at her house.
My mom met us there as well. My granny is 94 years
old and gets very lonely sometimes. She still lives
at her home and gets along fine by herself. My
mom is her primary caretaker when she does need help which
is hard sometimes because my mom is dealing with her MS.
She has to help my grandma bathe, clean, and keeps
her pill planner full. Today when we were there,
we just visited. I kind of feel bad, but I know that
a clean house isn't what makes memories.
Can you see my
granny's blue eyes?
This is where it all
started.
Riley loves to draw
pictures of my grandma
that make her laugh.

Pool Fun...
Today we had fun swimming at the Old Hawthorne pool.
It was really fun and not crowded at all. Macey loves the
water and Riley swam the whole time.
Macey is sitting
on the table. That
is why she looks so
much bigger than
Riley.
Our little friend Audrey.
How cute is she? She had
the watermelon suit and all
of the accessories to go with it!

Cardinals Vs. Royals...

Aunt Mandy, Uncle Cameron, Blake and Gavin

Blake enjoying many of the foods he ate. The first was fried chicken,
the second was a cinnamon roll, the third was peanuts. Plus
lots and lots to drink. Did I mention he said he thought he
was going to puke when he got home? The boys had such a
good time with Mandy and Joel. This was Gav's first game to go to.
Mandy sent me a text that all Gavin could say once he was in
the stadium was "WOW" over and over. She said his face was
adorable. They both had so much fun even though they are a little
crabby today. They got home at one this morning. Amazingly the
Royals beat the Cardinals 4-2. Thanks Mandy and Joel for making
such good memories for my boys. They will remember this forever!!!

Sassy Girls...
Todays post goes to the girls. Tomorrow I will do one
on the boys going to the Cardinals/Royals game with
my sister. I just wanted to post a couple pictures of the
girls in my sunglasses. Then Riley wanted Macey to
wear hers.
Ever since Riley went to dance camp,
she has been practicing her high kicks
with her toes pointed.
Here are a few more pictures of Macey before we went out to dinner.
She looked so darn cute!
Not only is Macey clapping early for her age,
she can also clap her feet together and clap
one hand and one foot! Multi- talented, I
tell you!

Sleeping Beauty...
Today Macey took a nap in her crib for the first
time without being in her carseat. The doctor told
us to have her out by 4 months so we are running
a little behind, but I say why mess with a good thing?
She sleeps through the night without her pacifier and
wakes up about 7 every morning. Here is my little
beauty:
Is she not precious!!!

Father's Day...
Happy Father's Day to the best daddy I
could ask for my kiddos. They love him with
their whole hearts!
Here is the card the kids and I made for Keith. It's hard to tell, but
I painted a foot on each kid and turned it into a fish. We made one
for my dad and Keith's dad too. It says " We're hooked on you Daddy
for Father's Day!"

Dance Camp...
Riley had a fantastic time a dance camp last week.
It was from 9 until noon everyday. Every day Riley
packed a snack or two or three. On Friday they did
a little performance for the parents and all got an award.
Some of the girls got awards like most organized,
best smile, best at improv., things like that. Guess
what award Riley got? Miss Snack Attack award.
My girl loves her food, what can I say. They did a couple
of little dances for us and then we went outside to let the real
fun begin. The girls got to throw water balloons at Miss
Candace. They had waited all week to do this.
All of the girls
with their buckets
full of water balloons
This was Rileys absolute favorite
part of the whole week.
Riley and her friend Kate and
Kate's sister Elly.

Mean Mommy...
Today Macey had her six month doctor appointment.
She is actually 6 1/2 months now. I set up the
appointment a couple of months ago with Dr. Beal
knowing that he was going to pierce Macey's ears
if we wanted to. Keith and I talked it over and over
some more, and I went in today not knowing if I would
go through with it or not. They were very excited when
we got there to do it. I guess he does an ear piercing about
every couple of weeks. There aren't any to choose from, just
gold studs. So we did it. She screamed for about the 30
seconds it took to do it. She cried A LOT harder when they
did her 3 shots. My friend Crissy did Riley's when she was
6 months and Riley did really well with them. She never
grabbed at them and they never got infected.
Macey is saying dada, drinking out of a sippy cup, and starting
to clap her toys together. Dr. Beal said she was early to do all
of those things. Her weight was 18 lb.14 oz. (90-95%), and
her height was 27 1/2 (95%). So she is a big baby, but still nowhere
close to what Riley was.
Macey stilll goes by Macey Mae, Mae-Mae, and Macey Moo.
She is in a size 3 diaper and in 9-12 month clothes. She still
takes 6-7 ounces of formula and started baby food a few weeks
ago and loves it.
She continues to love her brothers and sister and thinks everything
that they do is hilarious. They continue to think that she is the best
thing that has ever happened to them. I might add that I agree she
is pretty special and a complete daddy's girl.

The House In The Hood...
Well we have concluded that our house will be the
one where all of the kids in the neighborhood will hang
out at. Tonight we had 6 boys over, and Riley, playing
baseball for about 2 hours. The heavy rain showers didn't
stop them one bit. They were soaked!
Gavin was the youngest
at 6. The oldest was 15.
Gav can hang with the best
of them.
After the rain stopped, the prettiest rainbow was out.

Summer School...
Today the boys started summer school. Blake
is my big (this child is seriously up to my nose) 4th
grader, and Gavin is my little 1st grader. They both had pretty
good days and both boys ended up with a couple friends in
their classes. Last year when they went, the summer
school program was giving each kid $100 if they didn't miss
any days. This year they cut that out of the program
with all of the budget cuts. The boys said they would go if we would
pay them. For my sanity, it is worth every penny.
Little Miss Riley is in dance camp all week at CPAC from
9-12. That leaves me at home with my sweet little Macey for a few hours
a day.
